Baker Family

Frank Edward Baker (Son of William Edwin and Hazel Margaret Kather Baker)
Grandson of Francis & Margaret Strathern Baker and Charles and Katherine Rossini Kather

The Bakers came from Appleton, Minnesota in Swift County. Wyman BAKER, my gg grandfather is the earliest BAKER ancestor I can identify. He is buried in Appleton. His son, Frank, my great grandfather, came west to California at some point with his wife Margaret STRATHERN and son, William Edwin, my grandfather. They lived in the Bay area and, perhaps, Napa. Frank, for whom my father is named, is buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Rio Vista, California. The BAKERS and STRATHERNS are living near each other in Appleton in the 1880 census. William married Hazel Margaret KATHER about 1919 after a 4-year courtship that was interrupted by WWI. They had 3 sons, Frank Edward, Robert Eugene, and Warren Lorain. Only Dad survives.

I regret that some of the below documents aren't very legible in the larger version. After you get to the larger image, leave your mouse on the image and a colored square may appear in the lower right corner of the image. If you click on that square, the image will enlarge even further and become clearer. I'm not sure if this will work with all computers?
