Fuka and Kalal Families
Both my FUKA and KALAL families originiated in Bohemia.
My great great grandfather Joseph KALAL, who was born about 1835 in Bohemia, is found in the 1870 Baltimore City, Second Ward, MD Census living with his wife, Anna, 34, and children Anna 14, Mary 11, Frank 7, Barbara, and Sophia 1. Also living in
the household is Peter BRELL who is 40 years old and a Laborer. This census has all of the KALAL family being born in Bohemia. If that is so, then they must have arrived in the US in 1869-1870.
